How long are people experiencing homelessness in our CoC?
The above charts measure the number of days people experience homelessness across different project types. Metrics 1.1 and 1.2 show that the number of persons and length of time homeless has risen slightly across Emergency Shelter (ES), Safe Haven (SH) and Transitional Housing (TH) projects over the past year.
How many people are experiencing homeless in our community?
Metric 3.1 measures the number of people experiencing homelessness in El Dorado County. The total Point in Time (PIT) count has risen slightly over the past year, and there are significantly more folks experiencing unsheltered homelessness. Metric 3.2 measures change in annual counts of sheltered persons, which has decreased slightly over the past year.
HIC Count
Continuum of Care (CoC) Homeless Assistance Programs Housing Inventory Count (HIC) Reports provide a snapshot of a CoC’s HIC, an inventory of housing conducted annually during the last ten days in January. The chart above reflects the number of beds and units available on the night designated for the count by program type.
